

William Charles Mannery of Rockford passed away Friday, May 6, 2011. He was born on August 25, 1938 the son of Mack and Gussie. He graduated from East High School and from Rockford Valley College with an associates degree in 1977. William was a crane operator and a truck driver for Barber Coleman in Rockford from 1972-1975. William studied The Bible and made peace with Jehovah, God, and Jesus Christ before he died. Charles loved cooking, fishing, hunting, shooting pool, playing lottery, dressing up in suits, traveling, and living life on the go all the time. William has left to cherish his memory his wife, Madrinia Mannery, children, Anthony Carey of New Orleans, Keith Mannery of Rockford, Patricia (Charles) Crider of Virginia, Lisa Mannery of Rockford, Angela Mannery of Rockford, Donald Mannery of Rockford, Kenneth Mannery of Atlanta, Freedom Johnson of Rockford, and son Diamond of Chicago, 15 grandchhildren, and 13 great-grandchildren, his siblings Mike Henry Mannery Jr., and Dorothy Hicks, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who he helped raise. Madrinia would like to especially thank, Johnnie Hincade, Stonewall Pittman, Ilander Willis, Gale Patterson, James Richard, John Moore, Wendy Langusch, OB Taylor, and Dr. Angela Brown. A funeral service will be held at Advantage Funeral & Cremtion Services on Saturday, May 14, at 1 p.m. Rev. Bret Solowejho will officiate.
