Amy Jean Parent

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine,

You make me happy when skies are blue.

You never know dear, how much I love you.

Please don’t take my sunshine away.

Amy will always live in the hearts of all who knew her.

Amy is a 1995 graduate of Mountain Valley High School. She was employed at the Hope Association, in Rumford, ME. She served coffee at a Coffee Social every Thursday at the Rumford Community Home. She was a stock clerk at the What Not Shop. She delivered Meals on Wheels. She was a classroom volunteer at Park Avenue School in Auburn. She was a fantastic cribbage player who would take anyone on and won the 2008 WooHoo Cribbage Tournament Championship Plaque. She loved to knit, crochet and hook rugs. She was an avid washcloth maker. Amy is a Special Olympian. She loved all sports especially wrestling, baseball, football, basketball and she was an avid bowler. She loved to fish and her casting ability was amazing! She cheered everyone on. She loved the PEI jig. She was the best birthday and major family events calendar manager ever.

Amy is the daughter of Jean M. Blanchard and was predeceased by her father,

William Blanchard, of Mexico, ME. She is survived by her sister Sharon Kauffman and

brother-in-law Matt Kauffman, of Auburn, ME, her sister Bente Jordan, predeceased

Pepsi buddy brother-in-law Jeff Jordan and two nieces Emma Jean Jordan and Anna Rose Jordan of Hope, ME, her brother Mike Parent and sister-in-law Lisa Parent of Mexico, ME, three nephews Cliff McKinney & family of Auburn, ME, Jonathan Martin of

Boston, MA, Alex Parent of Mexico, ME, and niece Abby Parent of Mexico, ME, her brother John Parent, sister-in-law Nancy Parent, nephew Jacob Parent and niece Amelia Parent of Mont Vernon, NH, her brother Jim Parent and fiancée Debbie Boyd, nieces Caroline Parent & Elizabeth Parent of Manassas, VA, and her brother David Parent, sister-in-law Lori Parent, nieces Halee Jandreau and Hannah Davis and nephew Gregory Davis of Steep Falls, ME! Amy leaves behind many friends at the Hope Association.

She was so looking forward to her “long vacation” in P.E.I. with her McNevin’s Family.

She used to always say, “I show you what a good time is!”

Amy was a woman of many words. “Go Yankees!”, “Just trying to tell you in a nice way.”, “Don’t worry about it!”, “You dickless!”, “I beg your pardon.”, “Ooooo my favorite.”, “Alice!”, “Do your walk, do your talk, it’s all about you brother!”, “I got to make a living for my family.”, “What’s up?”, “Party down, babe!”, “Your going down!”, “You got that old fart pin, Joe!”, “Getting drunk on Pepsi!”, “I’m a Pepsiholic!”, “Pepsi on the rocks.”, “I lost cuz I didn’t have my real partner!”, “I love my brothers and sisters all the same!”, “Just asking in a nice way.”, “You got me all your life.”, “Please forgive me. Give me one more chance.”, “Don’t start.”, “Don’t push it.” “You’re so gorgeous!”, Ken, Kiss your wife!”, “Your good for my ego.”, “I’ll always be your Aunt!”, “I’m the favorite Aunt.”, “Oh, my word.”, “I don’t know what I’m gonna do about that.”, “You’re taking up my space.”, “I’m not your hand and foot.”, “What did you have for lunch?”, “What are you doing at work?”, “How many?”, “35! That’s my age!”

Amy loves everyone just the same.

Amy is an angel smiling down upon us all! Thank you for all you taught us.
