

She was born on May 21, 1933 in Mexico, ME, daughter of Damas Chaisson and Alice (Richard) Chaisson.
She graduated Mexico High School in 1951. Anita married George Litalien, Jr. of Chisholm, ME on October 3, 1953 at St. Theresa’s in Mexico. Together, they celebrated 69 years of marriage. They enjoyed their home in Peru where Anita was a homemaker raising their three children: Diane, Dennis, and Daniel.
George and Anita enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, attending Saturday night mass at Holy Savior Church, ice fishing, and going to the Oxford Casino. She also enjoyed cooking, making puzzles, listening to Alan Jackson, and watching the Red Sox and Celtics.
Anita is survived by her son, Daniel; four grandchildren, Brandon, Vanessa, Erica (& husband Ben), and Cammy; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Arianna, Alexa, Bella, and Christopher; daughter-in-law Valerie; brother, Albert (& wife Janice), and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, George, who passed away on December 21, 2022, two children, Diane and Dennis; sisters, Pauline and Beatrice; brother, Emmanuel; half-sister, Loretta; half-brothers, William, Johnny, Phil, Eddie, and Albion.

A Funeral Mass honoring Anita's life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Parish of the Holy Savior in Rumford with a luncheon to follow in the Parish Hall.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Anita's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959. At the family's request there will not be any visitation.
