He was born in Rumford, Maine on December 31, 1952 a son of Robert and Irene (Burt) Barry.
Bruce was educated in Rumford Schools and was a graduate of Rumford High School Class of 1972.
He was employed as a Bus Driver and Custodian for many years in the Rumford school system. Bruce was a member of the Rumford Eagles and served as a volunteer Firefighter for 18 years with the Rumford Fire Department.
He enjoyed playing cribbage, playing horseshoes, camping, and most of all spending time with family.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Anna (Daigle) Barry of Rumford; two children, Kelli Carrier and husband Steve of Mexico, and Robin Bickford and husband Brian of Rumford; a sister, Joan Gauvin of NH; three brothers, Robert Barry and wife Billie of NH, Rodney Barry and wife Shirley of NH, and Allen Barry and wife Penny of NH; four grandchildren, Karissa and Kylee Bickford, and Leigha and Grant Carrier; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents and an infant brother George.
