

She was born in Dixfield on June 14, 1924 and graduated from Dixfield High School in 1942. Carolyn played on the 1942 ladies softball team that traveled to Ohio for nationals.
She wed Richard C. Gill on February 15, 1946 and they resided in Dixfield on Weld Street where they raised their family of three sons.
Carolyn was devoted to her family and took great pride in their accomplishments. She taught us all what it truly is to be selfless and altruistic. She was always appreciative of family and friends and took great joy in sharing in their happiness. During the last few months at the Victorian Villa, she was very grateful for the support of the staff and loved her caregivers. She will be missed by all who knew her and we will cherish her memory.
She is survived by her son John Gill and his wife Carol of Wilton, son Kerry Gill and his wife Pamela of Scarborough, daughter-in-law Barbara Gill of Auburn, grandson Nicholas Gill and his partner Andy Smith of Portland, grandson Jeremy Martin of Yarmouth, granddaughter Lara Crandall and husband Roy of Massachusetts, granddaughter Tracey MacLellan and husband D.J. of Vermont, and three great-grandchildren Leo, Holley and Noah.
Carolyn is predeceased by her husband Richard, son Larry, sister Jeanne Luce, and grandson Aaron.
