OBITUARY
Christopher W Perry
June 7, 1974 – February 3, 2021
LEWISTON: Christopher W. Perry, 46, of Rumford passed away on Wednesday February 3, 2021 at CMMC in Lewiston due to a massive heart attack. He was born in Rumford on June 7, 1974 a son of Marion and Regine (LeBlanc) Perry Smith. He loved growing up in Rumford, more specifically the "old" neighborhood. He made many childhood and high school friends. He remained close to them to this day. He adored his grandfather and spending time with him and his Uncle Ray at LeBlanc's General Store in Roxbury Village as well as the family camp on Roxbury Pond. In his twenties, Chris moved to North Carolina where he married Linda Perry. Together they had their son, Tyler, who was his pride and joy. He also raised his step-son, Michael Isner. He was quick to volunteer his services to anyone in need, whether it be a friend after surgery, rides to the store and Italian Bakery or babysitting a helmet wearing buddy. He was always ready with a helping hand, but most especially with his mom, who was his #1 priority. He and his live in girlfriend, Jodi, enjoyed trips to the coast, mountains, shows and concerts. They also like hosting BBQ's where Chris was the grill master and everyone reaped the rewards. He was also the rolling master. Everyone reaped those rewards too. His passion was for music. You could always find him strumming a guitar or spinning records on an old turntable. He will be sadly missed by many. He is survived by his mother, Regine L. Perry Smith, his son, Tyler Perry, and his step-son, Michael Isner. He also leaves behind his brother, Stephen M. Perry, his three step-brothers, Jeffrey Smith (Tammy), Terrence Smith (Laurie) and Wayne Smith (Megan) along with his longtime companion, Jodi Campbell. He was predeceased by his father, Marion W. Perry, and his step-father, Terrence A. Smith. Condolences and fond memories may be shared with the family at www.sgthibaultfuneralhome.com There are no services at this time. Interment will take place in the family plot at St. John's Cemetery in Rumford. Those wishing, in lieu of flowers, may make a charitable contribution in Chris' memory to The Hope Associaton 85 Lincoln Ave. Rumford, ME 04276. Arrangements are under the care of the Thibault Remembrance Center Affiliate of The Fortin Group Funeral Homes 250 Penobscot St. Rumford,364-4366.

Regine, we are so sorry for your loss. Christopher was such a large and gracious personality with a huge heart. He was always there for his family and friends through words and most importantly, through his actions. From an early age Chris was a natural leader and a confident force that just drew people close to him.
Although time moves faster than any of us would like, memories are the fixtures that ground us to our past and help us shape our futures. I am truly greatful for all the amazing childhood memories that were made with Chris and his beloved “hometown crew”.....
He will be sorely missed.....but with all of the amazing memories.....never forgotten.
Our deepest condolences......

My deepest condolences to the family!!! I don’t think I have a single childhood memory without you in it! We had our neighborhood friends that we were with on a daily basis! Then we all somehow drifted apart and made families of our own! But don’t you worry Chris, I will see you on the other side!! ❤️💔

Our deepest condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Chris through my husband Nate many years ago. He was always there to help. Whether it was watching the dogs (I will always remember Klide being so excited to see him that he would run in between Chris's legs and lift him off the ground), making sure we had a hot meal when I got home from ICU, and most importantly helping me with Nate when he came home from an extensive stay at the hospital. We will always think fondly of the BBQs, times at our camps and all of the joy and laughter he spread. Rest well my friend.

My sincere condolences to Chris’s family, truly heartbreaking. I had the pleasure to grow up with Chris and friends in the “neighborhood” these were good old days. It was a very special time for all of us, we may have grown apart to start our own families but the memories are always there to cherish. It keeps us grounded and highlights what is really important...family. Rest in piece my friend we will all meet again someday in the neighborhood.

Ugh...it's always hard saying goodbye to a loved one, family member, friend. Chris was one of a kind. I always will remember his smile, quick wit, he always had a joke to share with us. He had kind of a campy kind of construction worker "one of the guys" type sense of humor I would say...lol. I was always kind of surprised that he kept his hair short, as many the Perry boys had thick afro-like hairdo's...lol. He was one of us for sure...a good 'ol down to earth Rumford kid. I can't speak for all my peers, Hans, Mark, etc. MVHS Class of '93 as some of them were closer to him than I was....being a year ahead of me in school. RIP bud...we will all miss you. My condolences to his family and friends.
