

Florida- Constance (Roy) Blaisdell, age 82, of North Fort Myers, Florida, and longtime resident of Rumford and Lewiston, Maine, passed away peacefully at her home following a year long illness, on Wednesday January 6, 2016, with her loving family at her side.
She was born in Chisholm, Maine on July 2, 1933, a daughter of Edmond and Yvette (Leclerc) Roy.
Connie was educated in Jay schools and was a graduate of Jay High School, class of 1952.
Throughout her life she was employed as a bookkeeper, banker, and billing analyst. Her most important job of all was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend to many.
Connie was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior, in Rumford and St. Theresa’s in North Fort Myers.
She enjoyed many facets of crafting, especially painting, refinishing, sewing, and upholstery, and enjoyed playing bingo in the community where she lived. Connie lived a wonderful life, enjoying her golden years in Florida during the winters. While in Maine during the summers, she and her husband Richard, enjoyed camping, four wheeling, and spending their time with family and friends. Connie touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a remarkable woman that always found the good in everyone and welcomed them as part of her family.
Connie leaves a loving and lasting legacy behind. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Richard Blaisdell of N. Fort Myers, Florida, son Wayne Buckingham and wife Carol of Virginia Beach, VA, daughter Lisa Daigle of Lewiston, ME., son Keith Buckingham and partner Jose Fasenda of Bedford, N.H., son Rick Blaisdell and wife Jennifer of Colorado Springs, CO., and daughter Sherri Gosselin of Lewiston, ME. She truly loved each of her 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, and all the others that love to call her Memere.
She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Claire Fields.
She will be truly missed but her memory will last forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
The Lord saw you getting tired
