She was born in Rumford, Maine on October 7, 1952 a daughter of John and Faylene (Locke) Austin.
Cindy was a graduate of Stephen’s High School. She married Earl Canterbury on December 24, 1978. She was employed as an interior decorator, a job she truly loved and was great at.
Cindy loved hosting family and friends; it was her favorite thing to do. She enjoyed making her loved ones happy and comfortable. She was an amazing cook and would feed friends, family and visitors who would rave over her special dishes and enjoy the beautiful homes she kept, she also loved playing Bingo with her friends.
Cindy had a heart of gold and was the most amazing wife, mother and daughter. She spent every day for an entire year while her mother Faylene was ill, taking care of her every need.
Cindy had a smile and personality that shined brighter than the sun itself.
Surviving are her husband of 40 years Earl Canterbury of Pensacola, Florida; children, Sandra Dickie and husband Troy of Turner, and Melissa Campbell of Turner; three brothers, Greg Austin of Weld, Preston Austin and wife Diane of Mexico and Stephen Austin of Carthage; and two grandchildren, Jared Dickie of Turner and Sydnee VanHorn of Turner.
She was predeceased by her parents.
