Daniel Joe Glover Sr.

Daniel (Dan) Glover Sr., 82, was born on August 2, 1944, in Hartland, Maine. He will be remembered as a hardworking, generous, and devoted family man who spent his life caring for the people and things around him.

Dan spent his entire career as a mechanic and business owner at Glover’s Service Station. Known for his strong work ethic and his ability to fix just about anything, he had a lifelong love of tinkering. Whether something needed repair, improvement, or simply

figuring out, Dan was always willing to put his skilled hands and determined nature to work.

After retiring, Dan enjoyed spending more time with his beloved wife, Penny, and his family. He especially loved traveling and camping in his motorhome, exploring destinations throughout New England and making memorable trips to Prince Edward Island.

Dan also shared a special bond with his dog, Rocky, who was an important part of his life and a faithful companion. Rocky brought Dan companionship and joy, and held a special place in his heart and family.

Dan was stubborn in the way that often accompanies determination, but beneath that stubborn streak was a deeply generous man who worked hard, cared for his family, and

was always willing to lend a hand. His dedication to his work and the people he loved defined who he was.

He is survived by his wife, Penny; his daughter, Tammy MacDonald, and her husband, Bill; his son, Daniel Glover Jr., and his fiancée, Heather Dinsmore; his grandchildren, Bethany and Josh MacDonald, Daniel Glover III and his wife, Bryanne, Arianna and

Austin Glover; and his great-grandchildren, Jack and Kate Glover. Extended family, Eric and MaZ Brown.

Dan’s family will carry forward the memory of a man whose determination, generosity, and skilled hands shaped so much of their lives. Through his work, the help he gave, and

the time he shared with those he loved, Dan left behind more than memories—he left a lasting example of devotion and care.

Though he is deeply missed, Dan’s love remains in the family he cherished and in the countless moments they shared together. His life will be remembered with gratitude, and his memory will remain a steady and treasured part of their lives.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Hall in Rumford on September 27th from 1:00 - 3:00.
