He was born in Rumford, Maine on February 10, 1926 a son of Gustave and Josephine Parise.
Blackie married his special love and companion of 49 years, Lorraine Richard, on January 7, 1950.
After serving in the US Navy during WWII he was employed for 44 years with Boise Cascade in the Maintenance Dept., retiring in 1987.
Blackie was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior and served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of the American Legion Post #24, the VFW, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the LeParesseux Snowshoe Club, and the Webb River Sportsman’s Club.
Blackie enjoyed fishing, tying flies, hunting, and volunteering at Rumford Community Home and Holy Savior Church.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Maine Veteran’s Home for the wonderful care given to Blackie.
Surviving are his children; Charlene Miller and husband Curt of Eugene, Oregon, Louise Parise of Portland, Dennis Parise and wife Young Suk of Rumford, Nelson Parise and wife Dana of No. Yarmouth, and Linda Parise of Portland; two sisters, Florence Pelletier of Rumford, and Anita Fournier of Shapleigh; two brothers, Robert Parise and wife Carol of Rumford, and Joe Parise and companion Judy Richardson of Andover; He was a Special Pepere to many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a good friend Rendy Heath of Rumford.
He was predeceased by his wife Lorraine, brothers, Gerard and Therence, and a sister Juliet Tipton.
