George Robert Litalien

He was born February 2, 1933 in Chisholm, ME the son of George, Sr. and Marie (Vaillancourt) Litalien.

George married Anita Chaisson of Mexico, ME on October 3, 1953. They enjoyed their home in Peru, where they raised three children. For most of his life he worked for the paper mill, retiring as a rewinder operator.

Throughout his retirement, George and Anita enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, attending Saturday night mass at Holy Savior Church, ice fishing, and going to the Oxford Casino, He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, splitting wood, and raising his chickens.

George is survived by his wife of 69 years Anita Litalien; a son Daniel; four grandchildren Brandon, Vanessa, Erica (& husband Ben), and Cammy; five great grandchildren Tyler, Arianna, Alexa, Bella, and Christopher; daughter-in-law Valerie, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two children Diane and Dennis; sisters Bernadette, Yvonne, Theresa, Irma, Joan, Abby, and brothers Roger, Roland, and Donald.

The family would like to thank Pinnacle Health & Rehab, Androscoggin Home Healthcare & Hospice, and Dr. Deluca for their care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Noon, Friday, December 30 at the ST. ATHANASIUS & ST. JOHN CHURCH, 126 Maine Avenue, Rumford.
