He was born in Rumford, Maine on August 6, 1937 a son of Henry O. and Philomene Arsenault.
Gerry was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School Class of 1955.
He was also a graduate of the University of Maine in Orono, with a BA Degree in French Education, Class of 1959.
Gerry was a French teacher for 25 years at Scarborough High School.
He was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior, and served on many church committees.
Gerry enjoyed doing yardwork, carpentry, and was an accomplished seamstress.
Surviving are a two sisters in law, Betty Arsenault of Auburn, and Carol LaFleur of Florida; many nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, four sisters, Florence Blanchard, Anna Sirois, Lydia Fortin, and Alvine Arsenault; and five brothers, Edward, Euclide, Melvin, Lionel and Armand.
