

She was born at home in Buckfield, Maine on June 18, 1940 a daughter of Wesley and Mabel (Dearborn) Lucas.
Gloria was educated in Buckfield schools and was a graduate of Buckfield High School Class of 1958.
She was employed with GH Bass Shoe Company for several years, then at Form Fiber Co. and retired as a Customer Service Representative from LL Bean.
Gloria was a member of the Dixfield Common Baptist Church and the USS Joseph Strauss DDG 16 Association.
She loved shopping, cooking, redecorating her house, traveling, trips to the ocean, and spending time with family.
Gloria was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots Fan.
Surviving are her husband Joseph R. McVay of Dixfield; children, Daniel D. Berry of Canton, Stephen E. Berry and wife Jodie of Bonita Springs, FL, Mark A. Berry of Canton, Timothy L. Berry and wife Kimberly A. of Lisbon Falls, ME, John D. McVay of Cedar Park Texas, and James V. McVay and wife Glenda of North Carolina; a sister, Deanna Rose Berry and husband David of Dixfield; twelve grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, and many many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, a brother Waldon Lucas, and a sister Irene White.
