He was born in Rumford on March 3, 1933 a son of Frank and Julie Cormier.
Ivan was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School Class of 1951.
He served in the US Air Force for 21 years having been stationed in Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, and England, retiring as a Master SGT.
Ivan was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior.
He is survived by his sisters, Sr. Aulide Cormier of New Brunswick and Viola Goguen and husband Roland of East Millinocket; nieces and nephews; and a longtime companion Dorothy J. Bradley of Mexico.
He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters Rita Madore and Irene Doiron, and a nephew Jeff Goguen.
