

He was born in Rumford on January 26, 1937 a son of Joseph E. and Lucy (Arsenault) Perry.
James was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephen’s High School.
He served in the US Army for two years.
James was employed for nearly forty years with the Boise Cascade Paper Mill.
He was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior.
James was a member of the Sons of Italy, the VFW, the 40/8 club, the American Legion, the Elks, the Snowshoe Club and the Eagles.
He enjoyed playing cribbage, fishing, hunting, golfing, playing pool, listening to classic country music, watching the old classic westerns, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are a son, Robert J. Perry and wife Tammy-Lyn of Peru; a daughter Lynn M. Petrie and husband Jay of Rumford Center; two sisters, Elizabeth Dumoulin and husband Fern of Rumford, and Emily Louise Schrath and husband Eric of Plymouth, MA; and four grandchildren, Erin Perry, Avery Perry, Julianne Petrie, and Amanda Jo Petrie.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Mary (DeFilipp) Perry, two brothers, Paul and Raymond Perry, and a sister, Irma Sirois.
