John was a wonderful father-in-law.  The boys would get so excited when he'd come to visit.  Wish he had lived closer so his grandchildren could have really known him.

I always remember when Grandad would come to visit. He would show up and three days later a letter would arrive from him saying he was on his way to see us. He was faster than the postal service.
