

He was born in Maynard, MA on August 29, 1918 a son of Arthur J. and Theresa A. (Shanahan) Lacroix.
John served in the US Navy during WWII and was honorably discharged.
He was employed in the maintenance department with Lincoln Sudbury School system in Sudbury, MA for many years.
John was a member of the VFW in Hudson, MA and the American Legion in Rumford.
He enjoyed doing carpentry and woodworking. He was also an avid gardener and loved deep sea fishing.

Surviving are two sons, John J. Lacroix, Jr. of Portland, Oregon and David B. Lacroix and wife Marguerite E. of Orange, MA; two daughters, Lorraine Ann McCormac of Avon Park, FL and Mary J. Cahill of Waynesboro, PA; a sister Ann Beavis of Cary, North Carolina; thirteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and his wife Ethel (Tetreault) Lacroix in 2000.
