RUMFORD- Kendra Archelle Palmer, 60, passed away on March 30, 2026, following her battle with cancer, at the Andwell Hospice House in Auburn. She was born on April 29, 1965, in Rumford, to Charles P. and Gertrude Maud (Damon) Thornton.
Kendra enjoyed spending time with family, visiting the ocean, and chasing sunsets. She had a deep love for music, gardening, and good food with good company.
Kendra is survived by her husband Stephen Palmer, daughter Abbie Kain and her boyfriend, Jonathan True, son Darren Kain and his girlfriend Crystal Casey, and her father Charles P. Thornton. As well as her sisters Louwana Thornton and Deanne Welsh, brothers Chuck Thornton and his fiancé, Robin Ruckman, and Rick Thornton and his wife Betty Thornton.
She is predeceased by her mother, Gertrude Maud Thornton.
In Kendra’s last days she was surrounded by her loved ones. She lived and loved her family, and most of all she loved God and Jesus Christ.
Kendra's celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 1PM at DiCocoa's, 125 Main St, Bethel. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
