

He was born in Rumford, Maine on November 28, 1942 a son of Alva and Mary (Gagnon) Laperle, and was educated in Rumford schools. He graduated from Stephen’s High School with the Class of 1960, and then attended St. Francis College in Biddeford.
Roger served in the United States Air Force from 1962 – 1965 as a Crash Rescue Fireman, stationed in Langley, Virginia and Kunsan, Korea and was married to Eileen Donahue on January 19, 1963.
Roger was a self-employed general contractor in Farmington after moving there in 1972, and was a member of the Farmington Lions Club during the 1970’s and early 1980’s, He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling in his younger years.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor with a ready supply of jokes to share with all his contacts.
Surviving are his wife, Eileen S. Laperle of Farmington; a daughter Elizabeth L. McFarland and husband Truax of Jefferson, ME; a sister Doreen Gallant and husband Jim of New Gloucester, ME; a brother Larry Laperle and companion Ann Welch of Rumford and Florida; a grandson Conor McFarland; and several nieces and nephews.
