

He was born in Jay Maine on August 17, 1924 a son of George and Mary (Vaillancourt) Litalien.
Roland was educated in Jay Maine schools and served in the US Army during WWII.
He married Catherine McDonald on July 17, 1948 and together they celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Roland was employed for 40 years with Oxford Paper Company. Roland was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior.
He was a 68 year member of the American Legion, a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the LeParesseux Snowshoe Club.
Roland enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool, and most recently playing beano.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Catherine (McDonald) Litalien; sons, David Litalien and wife Susan of Mexico, Gerald Litalien and wife Elizabeth of Mexico, and Paul Litalien and companion Tammy Martineau of Rumford; three sisters, Bernadette Arsenault of Lewiston, Yvonne Hurd of Brunswick, Theresa LaPlante of Peru; two brothers, Roger Litalien and wife Cecile of Bowdoinham, and George Litalien Jr., and wife Anita of Peru; nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, three sisters, Albertine Smith, Joanne Fournier, and Irma Bilodeau, and a brother Donald Litalien.
