Tena Marie Godbois

1956-2021

Tena Marie Godbois, 65, passed away on October 18, 2021, with her loving family on her bedside.

Tena was born in Rumford, Maine on May 22, 1956, to Robert and Dorothy McPherson.

Tena married the love of her life, Gearry Godbois, on May 3, 1975. The love and commitment the two had for each other led them along a 46-year marriage. Together they created their family, raising three children, Gary, Lisa and Scott.

Tena’s life was her family; she was the most nurturing, loving, and thoughtful person. Anyone that knew her would agree. What made Tena the happiest was her grandchildren. She loved spending time with them, this is when you would see her the happiest and wearing the biggest smile. Tena’s world revolved around her grandchildren and there is not a single thing she would not do for any of them. Tena loved family gatherings of all kinds, especially Christmas. Christmas was her favorite time of year. Tena spent days baking, cooking and crafting with family to prepare for the big day.

Tena is survived by her loving husband, Gearry, son, Gary and wife Trudi, daughter, Lisa and companion Shon Ellis, son, Scott and wife Stacey. Her beloved grandchildren, Gavin, Cameron, Chloe, Benson, Kyle and Katelyn. Siblings, Robert McPherson and wife Elaine, Richard McPherson and wife Mary, Elaine Merrill, Patricia Bean and her husband David, Edward McPherson and wife Carrie, Larry McPherson, John McPherson and his companion Wendy Hebert and Billy McPherson, and many nieces and nephews. Tena was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Dorothy McPherson, brothers, Daniel and Brian (Chug), brother-in-law, Dwight Merrill and sister-in-law Loretta McPherson.

Visitation will be held 12 to 1 for Family/Close friends and 1-2 public.
