She was born in Dixfield, Maine on April 18, 1917 a daughter of Verdell and Gertrude (Drown) Holman.
Thirza was educated in Dixfield schools and was a graduate of Dixfield High School Class of 1935.
She was employed as night supervisor at the Maplewood Lodge in Canton for many years, and later worked as a CNA at Dixfield Healthcare Center.
Thirza attended Dixfield Congregational Church and was a member of the Dixfield American Legion Auxillary Unit 100, the VFW Auxillary and many senior citizen groups. She was also a member of the Dixfield Historical Society.
Thirza enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, sewing, spending time with her family and going on picnics.
Surviving are her children, Leland S. Mingo of Rumford, Vawn R. Daley and husband Hugh of Dixfield, Emma Towle, and Earle Towle, both of Florida; thirteen grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; and thirteen great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband Ralph Mingo, her second husband Richard Towle, two daughters, Natalie Towle and Arlene Daley, two sisters, three brothers, and three grandchildren.
