

Rumford – Victor L. Collette III passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 29, 2017 at Rumford Community Home with family at his side. He was born on January 14, 1955 in Keene, NH to Victor and Sally (Duguay) Collette II. He graduated from Dover High School in Dover NH in 1973.
Vic was stationed in the Army in Germany from 1973 to 1975 where he was awarded the Good Conduct Award, Sharp Shooter Award, and the National Defense Service Medal. When he returned home from the Army he moved to Florida to start his career in the Food Service Repair Industry. In 1985 he returned home to New Hampshire. In 1987, he worked at AF Briggs Co in Portland where he met his future wife, then started his own service company CalVic Commercial Repair for a few years before his last career job at Mechanical Services in Portland and his final job at the New Page Mill.
On May 20, 1989, he married Judy Adley of Rumford. After his conversion to the Catholic faith at St. Athanasius St. John Church, Vic became a leader in the RCIA program for many years and continued to embrace this Catholic faith for over 20 years.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Webb River Sportsman Club and the Chisholm Ski Club. He also loved to fish and downhill ski. He was a member of Black Mountain Ski Patrol for many years. The highlights of his life were watching his daughter Katie play in all of her sports, soccer, downhill skiing and softball.
Victor was a devoted husband, father, son and friend and will be remembered for his love of family, love of his dogs, especially Echo Blue and Zoey and his love of ice cream.
Vic leaves his loving wife Judy, special daughter Katie, Mom and Step Dad Sally and John Breen of Rochester NH, brother Brad and Judy Collette of Allenstown, NH, brother Joe Collette and partner Joe Miele of Candia, NH, brother in law Brad Adley and wife Susan, brother in law Greg Adley, nieces Elizabeth Adley, Celina Adley, and Michelle Collette, nephews Jeremey Collette, David Adley and Jon Adley.
He was predeceased by his father Victor Collette II and most special in laws, Garfield and Lorraine Adley.
The family wishes thank the staff at Rumford Community Home and the nurses from Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for the wonderful care given to Victor.
