Growing up in East Sacramento, he was a Bee carrier and a Boy Scout. He graduated from Sacramento High School and attended Sacramento City College. Don served in the Army in communications while stationed in Europe. He and Elsa were married on October 20, 1973. Throughout his life, he was into maps, surveying, home projects and so much more. He was a gardener, animal lover and a huge resource for anything needing repaired. He made sure his daughter and granddaughter had a custom toolbox for basic repairs. He always made time to help anyone needing his talents.
In 2009, building his dream house in Truckee, CA. became a reality. Many happy memories took place over the years spent at this mountain retreat.
Don was adored and loved by his wife, children, granddaughter and great grandchildren. He was proud of his family and supported everyone in their endeavors. He was a kind and caring person and will truly be missed. May God Bless his soul and welcome his spirit into Heaven for evermore.
