Compassionate and Respectful Cremation Services

A cremation urn sits on a metal chair with flowersFor decades, we have proudly embraced innovation to better serve our valued community. In 1981, we installed a cremation retort, becoming one of the first funeral homes in Sacramento to operate an on-site crematory. This allows for expedited services, giving families the chance to honor the timing their traditions require without delay or added coordination, including witness cremations. Currently we offer two retorts, reflecting our dedication to accommodating the evolving needs of the families we serve with dignity and grace.

At the heart of our mission in Sacramento is a deep commitment to serving every member of our community with dignity and respect. We recognize an important need to better serve cherished religious communities, including our Sikh, Hindu, and Buddhist neighbors, ensuring that every individual is honored with the care and reverence they deserve.

A Legacy of Care

A funeral director welcomes and comforts grieving childIn 1974, Henry and Rita Morgan took ownership of the North Sacramento Funeral home, and embarked on a heartfelt mission to provide compassionate care for you and your family during life's most challenging moments. With Henry's visionary and caring approach, changes soon came. He was one of the first in our area to install an on-site crematory, and he and Rita quickly recognized the need to provide facilities to serve certain cherished religious communities, including Sikh, Hindu, and Buddhist populations. This heartfelt understanding became the catalyst for a significant transformation of the North Sacramento Funeral Home, and continues today.

The Morgan family and our devoted staff experienced the profound loss of Henry Morgan in February 2007. With grace and resilience, the funeral home operations were lovingly continued under the leadership of Rita Morgan and their son, Christopher. In 2014, after nearly four decades of dedicated service, Rita Morgan entered a well-deserved retirement.

Today, the North Sacramento Funeral Home flourishes under the esteemed co-management of Christopher Morgan and Sarah Morgan, who are deeply involved in the daily operations and the compassionate conduct of funeral services. Families and communities have come to value and trust in this unwavering commitment.

We are profoundly honored to serve the families who entrust us with the sacred care of their loved ones. With a steadfast dedication to excellence, we will continue to evolve, refine, and enhance the operations of our funeral home to remain at the forefront of the industry.
