In The Beginning

In the beginning God started out with a Big Bang!!!  He made Heaven and Earth; He built all that can be seen and everything in between.  And he had something else up his sleeve.  He created the whole gang.  Starting out with Adam and Eve.  On the day that he rested he must have been sleeping.  Cuz that must be when he gave us free thinking.   

He made us all.  Both the short and tall, and the big and small.  Both Yellow or Black, and White or Brown - we all started out from the same ground.

He created creatures of all kinds; Lions that roar Eagles that sore. 
He made some that run, and some that seem to be just for fun.  When you see the Platypus, you know God must have a sense of humor.  He put a bit of a twist on some things.  A bird that sings; a bee that stings.  Although that's not funny, the bee also makes honey.

He made things that fly (including the mosquito, though I don't know why).  He made some that swim, and some that crawl, and that's not all.

He put some in every place.  And let them evolve to fit the time and space.

He made flowers and trees and the birds and bees.  He gave us fruits and nuts, carrots and peas, milk and cheese and much more than these to do with as we please.

He left all of these wonderful things in our care; to love, use, cherish and share. 

Now it up to us and this is a must to see what God started with a bang doesn't go out with a bust.

I heard someone say, "God works in mysterious ways".
But we're not on our own.  We don't have to do this alone.
With our prayers for help he will indeed send what we need.  We get help from above.

The help he sends comes with faith hope, and love.

And with the help that he brings you'll see God's presents in all things.

Memories

Life's memories - Life's journey brings so many things.
Memories are the moments of time and what our lives are made of.
It's what we have today, and what we'll make tomorrow.
Some are happy and gay, and some are filled with sorrow.

Memories from the past we thought we had forgot, 
but find they still can mean a lot.
Some things that had been taught, others that were not.
Memories of some things we learned from schooling,
some we learned from doing.

Some lessons we learned in school.
Others from acting the fool.
Some, from the school of hard knocks were learned.

Some memories that were happy and some that were sad.
We endure and learn from the bad, and cherish the glad.

All of life's lessons we have learned help us achieve  what we believe.

There are memories of family and friends, although apart, that live forever in our heart.

Memories of when you were young and bold,
are with you when you grow grey and old.

Memories of the family that brought you up with love and care.  With their experience and lessons for life they willingly shared.

They brought you along the right path to teach you right from wrong and raised you up to be proud and strong.

There are no words that can truly describe that feeling deep inside
of love and pride that changed our life at being joined together side by side as husband and wife.
And the precious gift of the child that blessed our life and suddenly made our life more precious and worthwhile.
The beautiful girl and boys that brought us such joy.

The future cannot be told.
We don't know what tomorrow will hold.
But it is something we can decide.

Live for now. The best you know how.
What happens to you today,
whether carefree and gay, happy or sad, good or bad.

Embrace and find joy in all you love, and find comfort and hope in your sorrow.
Time is something you cannot borrow.
What you do now are the memories of tomorrow.
Life is the memories of what you have done, and dreams of things to come.

Rides at the Fair

There's lots of fun rides at the State Fair.
There are rides that go up in the air.

There are rides that are on the ground.
Rides that turn you upside down.
Rides that have sound.

Rides that have lights.
Rides that let you dream.
Rides that make you scream.

Some rides are for the very small,
and some where you have to be "this tall".

There are water rides with slippery slides.
Roller Coaster rides are on rails.
Boat rides that have sails.

You can take your pick.
There's some that will make you sick.

There's some for everyone.
So get on board and have some fun.

Tall people

Don't want no tall people around here.
Tall people are better of dead.
They can't go thru the door without hitting their head.
Their feet are always cold from sticking over the edge of the bed.
They don't look you in the eye,
instead everything they say goes right over your head.

You can't dance cheek to cheek,
or put your head on their shoulder
because your nose only gets up to their armpits.

They live  in fear 
They're always going to hear
someone say, "How's the weather up there".

They're always cleaning up after them self 
cause they can see the dust on the top of the shelf

Who likes the wind

It's been said in spite.
Who likes the wind!
What's there about it to like.
The wind can go fly a kite.
An ill wind blows no good.  There's no reason why it should.
But, you never know which way the wind is going to blow.

A dry North wind brings little to like.
In the summer, it makes me sneeze when it stirs the dust,
and the pollen count goes out of sight.

In the winter, it can make you freeze
when it begins to snow, and the cold wind start to blow,
and sends the temperature to 10 degrees below.

But in the summer, when the valley air turns still and hot, then a cooling Delta breeze is sure to please.
Then you like the wind a lot.

But you never know which way the wind is going to blow.

A drive in our car

Let's take a trip in our new car.
We'll take a break and drive our way.
Get on board in our "Santa Fe"
To the hills to play in the snow,
or into town to see a show.

To church on Sunday! (That's a go).
To work on Monday? (That's a no).
Destination =our favorite fishing hole.

A trip to the city to see the sights.
With it's shows and shops and bright lights
and culinary delights.

A drive in the country to visit the farm, 
with all it downhome rustic charm.
There are crops in the field and cows in the barn.
Fields of wildflowers wrapped in Rainbows after spring showers,
leaving golden blooms like pot of gold by the side of the road,
framed by rainbows in summer showers.

Stop for a picnic in the park.
Camp under the stars when it gets dark.

Whether it's far,
or whether it's near,
Let's pack our gear,
and go for a ride in our new car.
We'll have a funday 
in our new Hyundai.

My New and Old Friends

To have a friend, all you have to do is to be one.
You may meet a new friend in an unexpected way.
At work or at play.
A neighbor at home,
or a traveler when you roam.

You don't have to do anything grand.  
Just extend your hand.

A friendly smile when someone's low.  A moment to say "hello".
Just to let them know that you care
and want to share their joy or their woe.

It's a small task, and not to much to ask.
For the reward you may earn is the good friend 
you may receive in return.

Of all life's treasures you may desire,
There is none more important that you can acquire
than your family of friends.

So I raise my glass again to you, my friend, both you old and new.
As good of friends as you've been to me,
I hope to be just as good a friend to you.

Old Friends

Here's to an old friend,
tried and true.
A friendship without end.
Old friend, here's to you.

A friendship from the past,
Leaving memories that last.
Some memories that please,
and some that tease.
(there are quite a few of these)
Some are sad,
But most are glad.

A friend that has what it takes 
to overlook your small mistakes.
A friend that will take a stand,
and lend you a helping hand.

A friend who will go that extra mile
to turn your frown into a smile.

To know the pleasures of life's small treasures
have been better when shared with a friend.

The simple pleasures of sharing a meal and glass of wine
have been mighty fine.
And sharing a talk, or a little walk;
how much more it has meant
because the time was spent with a friend.
