Michael "Mike" Francis Silva

On September 13, 1951 Louis and Pat Silva gave birth to a baby boy, Michael Francis Silva, known to his family and friends as Mike. Unfortunately, on December 8, 2015 Mike passed away in his home where he lived for many years. He is preceded in death by both his parents and is survived by a brother, Ron Starkey, sisters Bonnie Peach and Jackie Snow, his daughters Nikki Barrientos (Mike), Andrea Sanchez (Jose), his grandkids Christopher, Mia and Cruz and his nieces and nephews. Mike worked for the City of Sacramento as a devoted employee for 38 years, most of those years in the Streets Division. Mike was very full of life and in his younger years he loved playing baseball, boating, skiing, playing cards, riding his Harley Davidsons and later in life taking road trips to visit friends and spending time with his kids, grandkids and family. Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service on Friday, December 18, 2015 at North Sacramento Funeral Home, 725 El Camino Avenue, Sacramento, CA at 1:00 PM. A celebration of life will follow at the Elks Lodge 9240 Survey Road, Elk Grove, CA.
