He is survived by his devoted wife, Nirmala Maharaj; his three children, Bobby, Atish, and Sangita; his son in law Arvind; his daughters in law Angie and Priti; and his five beloved grandchildren, Kashev, Amisha, Aryan, Esha, and Aarna.
Surendra was born in the Fiji Islands, the son of late Mr. Pratap Chand Maharaj and late Mrs. Ram Dulari.
He was a loving father, father in law, and grandfather who always supported his family with unwavering love. He led with kindness, strength, and a deep commitment to teaching his children the culture, customs, and values that shaped his life. His guidance, generosity, and wisdom will remain with his family forever.
A funeral is scheduled for 10:00 AM on June 11, 2026 at North Sacramento Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Surendra’s life.
