Tommie Perez Cantu passed away peacefully in her home on September 2, 2026. She was born on January 16, 1925 in Cadereyta, Mexico to Jesus and Modesta Perez. She was one of 11 children and was raised in a large and loving family. When she was 40 days old, she emigrated to the United States. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Federico Trevino Cantu, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. Their life together was filled with love, family, and countless memories. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Anthony of Sacramento, CA, Adella of Redding, CA, Freda (Sean) of Redding, CA, Jessica (Blaise) of Sacramento, CA. Grandchildren, Desmond (Brook) of Grass Valley, CA, Samuel (Ashley) of Chico, CA, Jack (Suzie) of Chico, CA Hannah (Jason) of El Dorado, Hills, CA, Veronica of Sacramento, CA and Haley of Sacramento, CA. She has eight great grandchildren with a ninth great-grandchild lovingly anticipated.
Throughout her 101 years, she touched the lives of many with her kindness, wisdom, strength, and love. Her family was the center of her life, and she took great joy in watching each generation grow.
Her life was a beautiful testament to family, her deep Catholic faith and love that represents her. She will be deeply missed, but her love and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Her family is grateful for the extraordinary gift of having had her for so many years. Her love and memory will live on in her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all who knew and loved her.
After 101 beautiful years, may she now rest peacefully with her beloved husband and in the loving presence of God.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1066 26th St, Sacramento, CA 95816, US, on September 10, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Committal Service will be held at Calvary Cemetery and Funeral Center, Citrus Heights, Citrus Heights, CA 95621, US, on September 10, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Reception to follow burial service at 5811 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95920.
