Mary Jane Wallace

Mary Jane B. (nee Haus) Wallace, 87, departed to her heavenly home on January 13, 2016 in North Charleston, SC. She was the cherished wife of the late Arthur R. Wallace. Mary Jane was born and raised in St Louis, MO but spent her last years in SC close to her daughter at Summerville Estates, Summerville, SC. She was a 1945 graduate of Roosevelt High School, was employed in numerous jobs during WW11 but her passion was legal secretary to several law firms in St Louis. She loved to square and round dance.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Richard) Wiedenhoeft, son, Michael (Carol Lamberson) Wallace, grandson, Chuck (Kristin) Wiedenhoeft, granddaughter, Karen (Michael) Webb, granddaughter, Emily Renee Wallace and great grandson, Michael Richard Webb.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Clarence (Lois) Haus, and son-in-law, MSgt Ret Richard C. Wiedenhoeft.

She was a long time member and Past President of Hope UCC Women's Fellowship, quilting group, 1960 Worthy Matron, Pyramid Chapter 460 OES and member of Meridian Chapter 442 OES.

Visitation will be held at HOFFMEISTER COLONIAL MORTUARY, 6464 Chippewa on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 pm Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 10:30 am at Hope UCC, 6273 Eichelberger Ave, St Louis, Mo. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hope UCC or Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, N Charleston SC 29406 where Mom loved to hold the puppies after surgery.
