Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary; wife of 42 years, Lorraine; siblings, Helen (Charles) Kaufmann, Ted (Betty), Laura (George) Gerlach and Albion.
Survived by brother, Edmund "Eddie" Mokrzycki (Marlene Johnson); daughters, Teresa Kivel and Mary and granddaughter, Kristine Kivel.
Eugene was born in St. Paul, MN on January 22, 1931. Graduate of Mechanic Arts High School and served in the Army. He obtained his Degree at University of MN. He was a man of deep faith and was a longtime parishioner of St. Adalbert's Church. He married his wife, Lorraine on May 11, 1957 and they raised 2 daughters in a modest home on St. Paul's Eastside. Eugene provided for his family, working many years as a draftsman at Whirlpool Corporation where he retired from. He had patents in electrical motors for vacuum cleaners. He was very active in the community, campaigning for various politicians, was a member of the W Club, Junior Achievement Advisor, President of East Central Community Counsel, on the Finance Committee at Presentation Church, volunteered at St. Adalbert's Church, supported Minnesota Sinfonia and was a member of the Minnesota State Band. He volunteered at Roselawn Good Samaritan Home where his mother-in-law resided and was a member of the Polish American Club and American Legion Post 577. Eugene was most proud of his 60 years attending the Demontreville Jesuit Retreat House.
He had such a passion for music, enjoying many concerts. He loved life and always included everyone. Special thanks to the VA Home, Mpls for 6 years of superb care managing his Parkinson's Disease/Lymphedema and his well being.
Also thank you to the VA Hospital and Hospice Staff for caring for him in his final days.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Visitation 1 hour prior to service from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at St. Adalbert's Church, 265 Charles Ave., St. Paul, MN 55103. Interment Roselawn Cemetery, St. Paul.
