Harold L. Skinner

October 22, 1921July 7, 2016

Age 94 of Richfield, Minnesota

Born on October 22, 1921 and passed away on July 7, 2016. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Harry and Mary Skinner; Wife, Doris; Brother-in-Law, Carl Olson. He was Survived by Son, Michael Skinner; Sister, Joyce Olson; Sisters-in-Law, Lillian Hedensten, and Eva Radde; Nephew, Larry (Lynn) Olson; Nieces, Kathleen Burrington/Lee Duerr, and Nancy (Dwain) Klemmensen. Harold was a Veteran of WWII and the Vietnam Conflict. He was a Navigator in the Army Air Corps and Dentist in the United States Air Force. He was awarded a United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and a Vietnam Service Medal. A Visitation is scheduled for Monday, July 18 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Wulff Godbout Funeral Home, 560 West 7th Street, Saint Paul. The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday, July 19 at 11:00 AM with a Visitation One Hour Prior from 10:00-11:00 AM at The Church of St. Joseph, 1154 Seminole Avenue, West Saint Paul. Interment at Fort Snelling in Minneapolis immediately following Mass. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Church of St. Peter, 6730 Nicollet Avenue, Richfield, MN 55423; The Church of St. Joseph, 1154 Seminole, West St. Paul, MN 55118; The Cathedral of St. Paul, 239 Selby Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55102. My name is Betty (South) Young and I've been doing Genealogy on the "South" and "Ballard" Families for many many years and saw Harold's Obituary in the newspaper.

I just wanted to extend my Condolences to Harold's Family-even though I never met him.

My Family Line is down through Benjamin & Almyra (Winston) South. Eliza South-who was Married to Kelsey Myron Ballard Sr. would be my Great Aunt-she was a Sister to Chauncey W. South-my Great Grandfather and both of their Parents were Benjamin & Almyra South-as mentioned above.
