Beverly Sue Adkins, 70, of Salisbury passed away Monday, October 6, 2025, at TidalHealth in Salisbury. Born July 9, 1955, in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late James Gerard Murphy and Reba Mae Windsor Disharoon.
Sue graduated from Wicomico High School and then completed her undergraduate degree at University of Maryland Eastern Shore and obtained her MBA from Wilmington University. She worked for the Town of Ocean City for 41 years in the Finance Department. She enjoyed scrapbooking, playing cards, and volunteering at the Carriage House. Sue was most proud to be a loving grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Tom Funk; grandchildren, Maci Funk, Cru Funk, and Charli Funk; two brothers, Jim “Ricky” Murphy and his wife, Maria and Willie Disharoon and his wife, Crystal; two sisters, Pam Biggs and her husband, Richard and Judy Murphy; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Sam “Mike” Disharoon.
A private graveside service will be held at Trinity Gardens Cemetery in Newark, Maryland.
