Carlyn M. McMullen, 90, of Ocean City and formerly of Baltimore passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 at her daughter’s home. Born December 4, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Robert and Anna Little. A graduate of Peabody institute in Baltimore, Carlyn had a beautiful voice. She was a member of Community Lutheran Church and the East Sussex Chapter 2204 Women of the Moose. She was an avid sewer and enjoyed making quilts for church. She is survived by four children, Julia A. McMullen, Patricia A. McMullen, John A. McMullen, III (Deborah), and Carlyn M. Vickers (JC); five grandchildren, Jennifer, Kristen, Heather, John, and Sarah; eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John Andrew McMullen, Jr. in 1979. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2pm at Immanuel Cemetery, 2809 Grindon Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21214. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Lutheran Church, 30897 Omar Rd, Frankford, DE 19945 or Compassionate Hospice, 20165 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.

Carlyn was so sweet. My daughter Melissa shared a birthday with her and when Carlyn found that out Melissa received a birthday card each year for her birthday. I thought that was so sweet!
She was a sweet lady and I am sorry for the families’ loss.
