David Charles Blair, 74, of West Ocean City, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Stansell House of Coastal Hospice in Ocean Pines. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late George Arthur Blair, Sr. and Marvelle Jane Cross Blair.
David graduated with an accounting degree from Loyola College. He held various accounting positions in Baltimore and Salisbury, Maryland. He was a former member and very active in the Ocean City-Berlin Rotary Club and held many offices including Treasurer, Vice President and President. David was an avid golfer and an excellent bowler. In golf, he had a hole-in-one and he rolled 2 perfect 300 games in bowling.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine (nee Pachuta), and brother, George A. Blair, Jr. and his wife, Karen. He is also survived by Robert M. Pachuta and his wife, Vicky, Helen Chullin and her husband, Millard, Deborah Harrison and her husband, Mark, John L. Pachuta, Jr., Emily Leupold and her husband, Gary, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Rose Anna Pachuta.
A visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm with prayers at 7:30pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10:30am at St. Mary Star of the Sea/ Holy Savior Catholic Church, 1705 Philadelphia Ave, Ocean City, MD.
Interment will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 11:00am at New Cathedral Cemetery, 4300 Old Frederick Rd, Baltimore, MD.
