

David R. Houck, Sr., 73, of Parsonsburg passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He was the son of the late John Banks Houck, Sr. and Olive Hickman Houck. For most of his life David worked as a Poultry Farmer and was a member of the Salisbury Moose. He was a 20 years heart transplant survivor and a 10 year kidney transplant survivor. He is survived by his son, David R. Houck, Jr. and his wife Vickie; three grandchildren, Jennifer Meza-Rengal, Bryan Houck, and Christopher Houck; two great-grandchildren Alexis and Max; brother, George K. Houck, Sr. and his wife Alice Lee Houck; several nieces and nephews; and his little dog Jake. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie Lee Houck in 2013; sister, Shirley LaFond; and two brothers, John B. Houck, Jr. and James A. Houck. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 7pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of David to Coastal Hospice, P.O.
