Dawn Pamela Donohue, age 69, of Greenwood passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024 at home. Born October 16, 1954 in Baltimore she was the daughter of the late James “Jim” Colbourn Collins, Sr. and Shirlee Harvey Collins.
Dawn graduated from Colonel Richardson High School in 1972 and then obtained her nursing degree from Union Memorial Hospital. She later pursued her degree as a Nurse Practitioner. She practiced for many years at Johns Hopkins University of Maryland and after moving to Eastern Shore worked at Bebee Hospital.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Milford and served on several medical missions trips. Dawn had several hobbies and could do almost anything. Through the years she caned antique furniture, designed and made many stained glass items for family members, and extraordinary needle point. Her outdoor love for life was gardening, canning the produce that she had picked and canoeing.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Donohue; granddaughter, Jasmine Donohue; two brothers, James Colbourn “JC” Collins, Jr. and Victor Grant Collins and his wife, Angela; brother-in-law, Terrence D. Donohue Jr. and his wife, Beverly; sister-in law, Sharon Shrader; nieces and nephews: James Colbourn “Cole” Collins III and wife, Ashley, Tanner Collins; T.D. Donohue and wife, Michelle; Shelley Hackler and husband, Vince; Kellie Moran; Michelle Brooks and husband, Mitch; and Tricia Garcia; as well as 12 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Tyler Collins.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11am First Baptist Church, 6062 Old Shawnee Rd, Milford, DE 19963. Friends may also visit Friday, June 7, 2024 from 6pm-8pm at the Church. Rev. Dr. David Perdue will officiate. Interment will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 10am at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery Eastern Shore, 6827 East New Market Ellwood Rd., Hurlock, MD 21643.
