Born and raised in Powellville, he was the son of the late Wallace Monroe Wilkins and Elwyn Mildred Rayne Wilkins. “Duck” was recently retired from the Maryland State Highway Administration after 46 years of service as a heavy equipment operator. He loved fishing, especially surf fishing at Assateague. He loved NASCAR, anything Science-Fiction, and Poker.
In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his sister Patsy White and twin brother Ronald. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Mary Jane Justice Wilkins; his children Michelle L. Klimasewski, and Chad E. Wilkins. He also leaves behind his sister Anna Mae Yeadt, two brothers Herman Claude and George Wilkins, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 5 nephews, and 9 nieces.
Friends may call at Bounds Funeral Home, 705 E Main St., Salisbury, MD on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00p.m., where services will begin at 12:00p.m. Interment will follow in Powellville Cemetery.
