Born in Steubenville OH, she was the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Pedmo) Thomas of Pennsylvania. She grew up in New Jersey and Maryland and was a graduate of Wicomico High School and Goldey-Beacom College.
On November 13, 1965, she married Calvin Frank Parker, Jr. in Salisbury MD.
For many years, she was a bookkeeper for The Mardeleva News Company. After retiring, she volunteered at Deer’s Head Hospital Center and sang in the choir at St. Francis de Sales Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, and an infant daughter, Diane.
Dottie is survived by her husband of 59 years, Frank Parker; and two children and their spouses, Elaine Parker and Pete Evans II of Westover MD, Susan M. Parker and Paul L. Hodges of Coral Springs FL, and a brother-in-law, George H. Parker, of Salisbury.
Dottie loved nature, animals, daisies, and all things purple.
