Eleanor Mullin Lecates, 86, of Sharptown passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Wicomico Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late William “Hampy” Owens and Elsie Marie Owens. Eleanor was a lifetime resident of Sharptown and a life-long member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. In addition to being a homemaker she worked at the Wicomico County Board of Education and later retired from Peninsula General Hospital. She is survived by her sons, Bernie Mullin and his wife Cindi of Forest Hill and Barry Mullin of Sharptown; grandchildren, Wesley Baker, Sean Mullin, Lindsey Nanez, and Erin Reddy; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Carter, and Trent; nieces, Mary Brown, Melanie Boteler, Maureen Cline and nephew, Dennis Cline. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bernie Mullin, Sr. and Melvin Lecates; daughter, Sue Ann Brittingham; and nephew, Bernie Cline. A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday at 12pm at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
