Izabella “Izzy” Marie Kent, 15, of Pocomoke City, Maryland, passed away Friday, July 24,2026 surrounded by her loving family after a lifelong battle with RETTS Syndrome. Born on October 26, 2010, she was the daughter of MaryBeth Elliott and Michael Kent.
In addition to her parents, Izabella is also survived by her stepfather, Daniel Elliott; younger sister, Natalee Elliott; older sister, Hannah Elliott; stepbrother, Daniel Elliott; grandfathers, Barry Figgs (Pamela) and Timothy Miller; uncles, Mark Figgs (Jessica), Timmy Miller, and Rocky Miller; aunts, Tamara Figgs, Brandi Joseph and Tabitha Miller; great-grandmother, Mary Bull; great-uncle, Gary Martin; special cousins, Rhylee Figgs, Halle Kent and Carter Kent; and several additional cousins. Also, her best friends, Trevor Waryasz, Makaela Waryasz, and her teacher/mentor, Ms. Barb. Izabella is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Kathi Figgs and Lori Miller; grandfather, Kevin Purvis; and uncle, Chris Kent.
Those who knew Izzy were very lucky. She touched the hearts of many and has left a mark on all of us.
Izzy loved pink and purple. Purple is also the color for RETTS syndrome. In Izzy’s honor the family asks you please wear pink or purple to the funeral.
A funeral service will be held Monday, August 3, 2026, at 12pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Pastor Phillip Brown will officiate. Interment will follow in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
