James B. Bethard, 58, passed away at his home on Friday, October 1, 2021. Born and raised in the Salisbury area, he was a quiet man and mostly kept to himself. He would, however, be happy to share his very honest opinion with you if you were having a conversation. He loved tending to his flowers and garden, and was very proud of his well maintained yard. James served as a CNA for several years at Tidal Health-Peninsula Regional Hospital and Deer's Head Hospital. His last job was as a driver with Coca-Cola in Salisbury.
James is preceded in death by his father, Harold A Bethard Sr. who passed in 1998; his mother, Norma Lee Hill Bethard who just passed July 17, 2021; and his brother, Harold A. Bethard, Jr., in 2018.
He is survived by his daughter, Ariel Provost Truitt; son, Christopher Helgeson; sister, Brenda Harrison (Elmer); He is also survived by his four nieces, Courtney Flowers, Cailin Campbell, Stephanie Core (Deakon), and Logan Cosgrove (Ian), and nephew, Dereck Core.
