

James “Jim” B. Edmonson, 92, of Salisbury, MD and formerly of Hopewell, PA passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Salisbury Center Genesis Eldercare. Born July 11, 1925 in Hopewell he was the son of the late Edgar and Stella Edmonson. Jim retired from the Local 9 Union after 50 years as a brick mason. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Hopewell area Sportsmen’s Club. A United States WWII Navy Veteran Jim was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was also a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church and a very active member of the Cove Lions Club. He is survived by his wife of 72 ½ years, Clarice Edmonson; four daughters, Jill Sforza and her husband John, Doris Reffner and her husband Michael, Melissa “Mitzi” Coulson and her husband Jay (dec.), and Jamie Marino and her husband Dean; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister, Cloe Shauf; and his brother who was killed in WWII, Joseph Edmonson. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11am at Hopewell United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Jim to Hopewell UMC, 672 Christian St., Hopewell, PA 16650.
