Joan Louise Taylor, 81, of Salisbury passed away Friday, May 15, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born October 6, 1944 in Salisbury she was the daughter of the late Lester and Mary Belle Causey.
Joan worked with her husband, Boozie, on the water and the farm. She was a loving wife, mother, and mommom who was dedicated to her family. She enjoyed dancing, going out to eat and going to the casino.
She is survived by her four children, Lora Wooldridge, William “Butch” Trader, John Gilbert Taylor, Jr., and Mary Lisa Taylor; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; godson, David Jones; sister, Sarah Emma Strouth; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John “ Boozie” Gilbert Taylor, Sr.; one granddaughter, Karin Trader; great-granddaughter, Layla Dale; four brothers, Allen, Sonny, Jerry, and David; sisters, Linda and Diane, and nieces, Robin Ruark and Jennifer Causey.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 4pm at her granddaughter, Kim's home, 27699 Pemberton Dr. Salisbury, MD 21801.
Donations may be made in memory of Joan to assist the family with final expenses, payable to John Taylor, Jr. 602 Atlantic Ave, Salisbury, MD 21804.
