Joyce Ann Ehinger

Joyce Ann Ehinger passed on June 21, 2026, at the age of 88 in New Braunfels, Texas. Born November 30, 1937, in Salisbury, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Richard Lee Elliott and Hazel Kline Elliott.

Joyce worked for many years as a Salesclerk at Hecht Company Clothing Store. Joyce loved to dance, garden and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She spent as much time with her family as she could, treasuring holidays and family get togethers. She loved the eastern shore and all the beauty it offers.

She is survived by four children, Gregory Dean Gordy, Teresa Ann Gray (John), Gary Lee Gordy (Christine), and Ernest Buddy Gordy (Tina); thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; brother, William Elliott; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ehinger; the father of her children, George Herman Gordy, Sr.; son, George “GH” Herman Gordy, Jr.; brothers, Kenneth Elliott, Richard Lee Elliott, and Bobby Edward Elliott; and sister, Patricia Durning and Shirley May Kempke.

Her family loves her dearly and she will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Joyce’s Life will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 10:00 am at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury. Pam Wulff will officiate.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
