Joyce J. White

Joyce J. White, 89, of Salisbury passed away at her home on Sunday, December 18, 2022. Born April 18, 1933 in Shad Point, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Nora Smith Jenkins. Joyce worked for Dr. Wenrich and his group for over 30 years as a medical transcriptionist. She was a member of Washington United Methodist Church. In her younger years, Joyce enjoyed traveling with the Happy Timers, Peninsula Partners and AARP. She also enjoyed going antiquing. She was a loving wife, mother, mommom, sister, and aunt who loved and cherished her family dearly.

She leaves behind a daughter, Linda Williams (Henry), three grandchildren; Dawn Bishop (Chris), Kimberly Wright, and Casey Cooper, seven great-grandchildren; Lauren, Garrett, Hailey, Logan, Emily, Danielle, and Bridget; a special niece, Debbie Reddish; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William "Bill" White and daughter, Brenda Lee White; brother, Ralph Jenkins; sister, Annabelle Hecker; and a cousin who was like a sister, Phyllis Marshall Cooper.

A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 2pm at Allen Cemetery. Pastor William Littleton will officiate.
