Leonard Witt Morrissette Jr.

August 10, 1958August 23, 2020

Leonard Witt Morrissette, Jr., 62 of Gaithersburg passed away Sunday at his Home, August 23, 2020. Born 8/10/1958 in Washington, DC he was the son of the late Leonard Witt Morrissette, Sr. and Geraldine Catherine Hardy Morrissette Tattersall. Leonard I would say was a professional student achieving a Masters of Science degree from the University of Maryland. He enjoyed Fishing and Washington Redskins Football and calling his brother Billy to complain as they haven’t done well for years (still a Fan). Leonard was deeply committed to AA and to be a sponsor as well. Lenny was a Leo, but I would like to say he was a gentle Lion with a little growl but no harm. He is survived by his sister, Tina Greenfield and her partner William Anesin; brother, Bill Morrissette; nephew, William Morrissette, Jr., his wife Anis, and their son Adam, and nephew James Greenfield and niece Stacy Greenfiald. Lenny as he would say “My Brother” Will be missed by his Family and his Montgomery county family. Rest now Lenny and say Hi to Mom, Dad, Mike, Uncle Billy, Aunt Catherine & Uncle Jimmy and the rest of them A private family service was held. In lieu of flowers & donations, just HELP someone in need. Please visit www.boundsfuneralhome.com to share stories and memories with the family.

Uncle Lenny,

He was a good man... Since I was a child I would always enjoy when he would come around and talk to me about fishing. It was his passion, his go to topic of choice. Through the many years I have learned so much from him about fishing. It is a passion I now share with my loving wife Anis and the next generation of Morrissettes Adam. Through the bond and many wonderful times I had with him I can now happily pass down to my son. We love fish, and we love fishing just as much. Every time I go fish or see a fish, you know what I think of? Uncle Lenny... Your name will be known for as long as I live as the man who taught me everything I know about fishing, to Adam, my wife's side of the family in Indonesia, and future generations to come in your name. I love you uncle Lenny, You will be missed, but never forgotten.

Dear Bill, Tina and family,

I was very saddened to hear that Lenny has died, but agree with you all that he will be enjoying family time in Heaven with all those mentioned and sitting at the feet of Jesus. We have not seen Lenny in person for many years, but I have fond memories of the days when I would babysit for him and Michael. Growing up, I spent a lot of time with your Dad, Mom and watching the children as they were arriving. I pray you will all be comforted that Lenny is at peace. We are happy to fulfill your request to help someone -- something that is part of our life habit.
