Linda Susan Puckett

Linda Susan Puckett,77, of Fruitland passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026, at TidalHealth in Salisbury. Born August 8, 1949, in Wicomico County she was the daughter of the late Stephen Anthony Francis and Phyllis Bowden Francis.

Linda graduated from James M. Bennett High School and worked as a Secretary for the Delmarva Beauty Academy and later as the Processing Accountant at Perdue. For many years along with her husband George, they coached Wicomico County youth girls’ softball, the Salisbury University Optimist Little League, she played on the Wicomico County Women’s Fastpitch League as a catcher and was an avid golfer. She was a member of the Varsity Club at Salisbury University.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, George Puckett; daughter, Angela Puckett (David Coleman); and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce and Meredith.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
