Margaret Ann Pusey Shockley, 87, of Salisbury passed away Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, in Willards. Born Jan. 16, 1934, in Pocomoke City, she was the daughter of the late Edward Horace Pusey and Henrietta Wright Pusey.
Margaret went to Upton Street School and graduated
from Wi-Hi in 1952. She was a past grand club member of Relay For Life, taught exercise classes at the Cottages, loved basketball and softball, and enjoyed reading. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Gail Ann Elam and her husband Barry, Preston Lee Shockley and his wife Debbie, Sandra Rae Pierson and her husband Tony, Dianne Dawn Watts and her husband Dennis, and Connie Lynn Ward and her husband Fred; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a niece who was like a little sister, Beverly Pope and her husband Vaughn; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Floyd “Rusty” Shockley in 2007 and eleven brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury.
