Marguerite Lee Powell

In Loving Memory of Marguerite Lee Powell. Marguerite Powell, 79, of Willards, MD, passed away at her home, June 18, 2018. She was born on January 5, 1939, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Erma Scott. Marguerite was a wise, and well respected, spiritual sister in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed traveling, puzzles, and preaching to others about God’s Kingdom. Marguerite valued life, family, friends, and had unwavering faith. She was married to her late husband, Raymond S. Powell, for 55 years. During their time together; they ran a farm and R & M Trucking, Parsonsburg, MD. Marguerite Powell is survived by her six children, Herman Powell, Betty Carr, Ida Cropper, Virginia Larsen, Marguerite Davis, and Rodney Powell; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Vernon Scott; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond S. Powell; her siblings, Walter Scott, and Beverly Willing; and her two sons, George Powell and Raymond Powell, Jr. “At that time the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. At that time the lame will leap like the deer, and the tongue of the speechless will shout for joy. For the waters will burst forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert plains.” – Isaiah 35: 5, 6 A Memorial Service will be held August 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 215 Parker Road, Salisbury, MD.
